Hormone Imbalances and Its Effect Upon Women’s Health

Health problems or dis-ease are the result of imbalances in a woman’s body and life. Many of the problems and symptoms people blame on the sex hormones can be related to other hormones in a woman’s body.

Examples showing which hormones can cause the same health problems and symptoms during the reproductive years are:

  • Infertility can be caused by an imbalance in estrogen, progesterone, melatonin, and/or thyroid hormones
  • Lack of concentration can be caused by an imbalance in estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, melatonin, and thyroid hormones
  • Dysmenorrhea [painful periods can be caused by imbalances in estrogen, progesterone and/or cortisol

  • Fine wrinkle appearance can be caused by imbalances in estrogen and/or testosterone
  • Dysfunctional uterine bleeding can be caused by an imbalance in estrogen, progesterone, and/or thyroid hormones
